Description:

SUU Call Center Operators are responsible for manning the campus telephone switchboard and transfer calls to the correct person/department. Call Center Operators take emergency custodial and maintenance calls and inform proper personnel of the situation. Call Center Operators take emergency calls from all campus elevators and blue lights. Call Center Operators monitor campus fire alarm systems and report to proper parties. Call Center Operators will take guage readings on boilers when in operation. Call Center Operators maintain the call logs for all items listed above.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a desire to provide customer service with a smile.
  • Must have a knowledge of campus and the many school departments and be aware of the services offered in each department.
  • Must be willing to work some grave shifts (10pm to 6am), weekends, and holidays as assigned.
  • Must be able to arrive on time or a few minutes early to work.
  • Must be bright, articulate and able to work as a team player as well as stay motivated when working individually.
  • Must be willing to follow directions and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Must be computer knowledgeable and able to work with any Microsoft Office documents (create and edit), and PDF editing.
